Getting Ready for VR

IOland VR offers a freeing and comfortable space to experience virtual reality and XR experiences. So to prepare for this experience, there are some recommendations and requirements to make your time here as safe and comfortable as possible.

What can I expect during the session?

We have a large open volume for a single user to play in. It's called the green room and it is a 4.5x4.5 meter raised floor that is designed with safety in mind. This space gives you the ability to move freely with your motions while using the game controls to move distances, with exception to the Infinadeck Experience which will allow for complete freedom of movement.

What will we be playing?

We have a focused selection of VR titles that offer a wide range of play, focused around sword-fighting, gun-play and narrative puzzling. After the initial safety briefing you and your group can decide what game you would like to try, and if you are unsure of what to choose we can provide some casual guidance or surprise you with a title ourselves.

What you will need

Playing Virtual Reality is a physical activity that requires a lot of energy and concentration. That is why we ask all participants to come with the following:

  • Clothing fit for exercise
  • Little to no make up
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Contacts instead of prescription glasses (optional)

What we provide

  • Large screen and audio for viewing participants
  • Drinking water
  • Seating and rest areas
  • 2 parking spaces (4 after 2 p.m.) with parking on street
  • First aid registered operators
  • Toilets and ammenities, including shower

What to expect when you arrive

We suggest arriving 10 minutes before the schedule time as we are required to provide a safety briefing and register all participants. Every session will require approximately 10 minutes for participant registration and a safety briefing.
